The Sun Pharma stock extended its morning gains ahead of the close on the BSE on Monday. At 3 pm the stock was up nearly ₹14 or 2.32 per cent at ₹585.15 as against ₹571.90 at close on Friday. The company announced earlier today that it was acquiring Ranbaxy in a $4-billion deal.
Sesa Sterlite made further ground to quote at ₹192.90 as against ₹189.95 at close last week. This was a gain of 1.55 per cent.
M&M retreated a tad to hold gains of 1.07 per cent in late trading. It was quoting at ₹1,008 as against ₹997.35 at close on Friday.
State Bank of India made gains of 1.04 per cent to trade at ₹1,924 as against ₹1,904.25 at close last week.
Tata Steel firmed up 0.83 per cent to quote at ₹405.25 as against its previous close at ₹401.90.
