Suzlon subsidiary Senvion has signed four contracts for new and repeat orders totalling 60 MW in the UK that will provide nearly 38,000 homes with electricity.
The new contract is with RES, it’s first with the developer, for the Penmanshiel wind farm located at the Scottish border. The size is a total rated output of 28.7 MW. Pre-construction work has already started at the site and the project is due for completion in autumn 2016.
The repeat orders for a total of 34.8 MW are from Reaps Moss windfarm by InfraRed Captial partners, New Albion from John Laing and Watford Lodge wind farm by Broadview Energy, Suzlon said in a filing to the BSE.
Service and maintenance contracts ranging for periods from 15 to 20 years have also been signed.
