Shares of Suzlon Energy surged to a 16-month high on strong quarterly results.
At about 10 am, Suzlon shares were up 2.19 per cent at Rs 21 after rising as much as 8 per cent to Rs 22.25, its highest since January 6, 2016.
The company has posted consolidated net profit of Rs 579 crore for the March quarter, compared with loss of Rs 334 crore a year earlier
The stock posted its biggest intra-day percentage gain in over two months.
Up to Friday's close, the stock had risen 49.3 per cent this year.
About 70.6 million shares change hands, 1.4 times the 30-day average of 51.2 mln shares.
