Shares of Tata Chemicals Ltd rose as much 6.44 per cent to Rs 592.35, their biggest intra-day per cent gain since October 2017.
The company had post a fall of 65 per cent in its profits for the March-quarter. Last year it benefited from a one-off gain of Rs 12.67 crore.
The stock is up to the highest in a fortnight but has lost 21.3 per cent this year as of Friday's close.
