Shares of Tata Motors ended higher by 4.18 per cent at Rs 524.70 on the BSE led by JLR volumes and revenue growth.
The stock hit intraday high of Rs 528.05 and low of Rs 515.80.
Jaguar Land Rover volumes and revenue grew 9 per cent and is expected to get a £350-400-million boost from currency benefits for the rest of FY17, according to Jefferies.
The company’s June quarter consolidated net profit more than halved after the pound depreciated following Britain’s decision to leave the European Union.
The stock was the top gainer on Nifty 50 index, after extending gains from Friday.
The shares have gained 82.3 per cent since hitting over a two-year low on February 11.
