Tata Power held on to its firm sentiment near the close of trading on the NSE on Friday. At 3.30 pm the share was trading at Rs 72.95, up 4.21 per cent on its Thursday close at Rs 70.
Bajaj Auto rallied further to notch up gains of 3.09 per cent at Rs 2,282 against Rs 2,213.55 at close yesterday.
ICICI Bank was on a firm wicket in the afternoon session, striding up 2.65 per cent to trade at Rs 296.15. The share had ended the overnight session at Rs 288.50.
Kotak Mahindra Bank was trading at Rs 1,313.25, up 2.53 per cent on its previous close at Rs 1,280.90.
Idea Cellular gained 2.30 per cent to trade at Rs 171.35 as against Rs 167.5 at close yesterday.
