Tata Power rallied further to stay ahead of the pack at the close on the BSE on Friday. At 3.40 pm it held gains of 5.43 per cent to trade at Rs 87.30 as against its previous close at Rs 82.80.
Larsen & Toubro also made further ground to hold gains of 4.67 per cent at Rs 1,758.55 as against Rs 1,680.05 at close yesterday.
ICICI Bank made rapid strides in the second half to quote at Rs 335 as against Rs 321.35 at close on Thursday. This was a gain of 4.25 per cent.
Sesa Sterlite spiked up 4.2 per cent at Rs 217.05. The share had ended the overnight session at Rs 208.30.
Hindalco Industries also extended its morning rally to hold gains of 3.67 per cent at Rs 155.20 as against Rs 149.70 at close yesterday.
