Shares of Tata Power today rose as much as 2.9 per cent to their highest since November 16.
The jump in stock prices was attributed to the company signing an MoU with Russia on Friday to increase energy investment between Russia and India.
The MoU aims to focus on energy projects across the Russian Far East.
