Tata Steel rallied further to notch up gains of 4.4 per cent at Rs 258.90 at the close on Tuesday. The share had ended yesterday’s session at Rs 248.
Hindalco Industries also extended its morning gains to trade at Rs 109.30, up 3.36 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 105.75 at close on Monday.
Coal India was up 3.04 per cent at Rs 443.80 against Rs 430.70 at close yesterday.
State Bank of India was trading at Rs 288.95, up 2.81 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 281.05.
M&M drove up 2.38 per cent to quote at Rs 1,365.50 against Rs 1,333.80 at close yesterday.
