Tata Steel spurted 1.36 per cent to lead the pack on the BSE in the morning session on Wednesday. At 10.35 am the share was trading at Rs 394.70, as against its previous close at Rs 389.40.
The market was broadly lower, with the Sensex down over 270 points on heavy selling by FIIs and retail investors. The Nifty also dropped over 40 points in the session.
Reliance Industries gained 0.88 per cent to trade at Rs 871.70. The share had closed the overnight session at Rs 864.10.
ITC was trading at Rs 381.50, up 0.26 per cent on Tuesday’s close at Rs 380.50.
Sesa Sterlite edged up 0.13 per cent to trade at Rs 194.30. The share had ended the previous session at Rs 194.05.
Dr Reddy’s Labs was flat, trading at Rs 3,142.20, little changed from its overnight close at Rs 3,142.05.
