Metal shares Vedanta and Tata Steel stayed ahead of the pack on the NSE as well. At the close on Friday, Vedanta was the top gainer, trading at Rs 104.40. This represented gains of 12.38 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 92.90.
Tata Steel spiked up 4.38 per cent to trade at Rs 251.35 against Rs 240.80 at close yesterday.
Tata Motors sped up 4.25 per cent to trade at Rs 357.85. The share had ended the previous session at Rs 343.25.
Infosys surged 3.10 per cent at Rs 1,167.25 against Rs 1,132.15 at close overnight.
ICICI Bank traded up 2.69 per cent to quote at Rs 285.95 against Rs 278.45 at close on Thursday.
