Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has taken over Reliance Industries (RIL) as the most valued firm in terms of market capitalisation. The market capitalisation of TCS stood at Rs 2.27 lakh crore as compared with RIL’s market capitalisation of Rs 2.26 lakh crore.
The RIL stock touched a 52-week low at Rs 690 in intra-day trade. The TCS scrip is currently trading at Rs 1,161 per share, down 0.4 per cent from its previous close. RIL is currently trading at Rs 692.05 per share, down 3 per cent.
The markets are yet to close. As of 3:10 pm, the Sensex at 15,480 was down 0.4 per cent. The Nifty at 4,626 was also down 0.4 per cent.
