IT and auto shares raced up the BSE on Thursday morning, as the markets turned direction to post gains after ending deep in the red on Wednesday.
At 11.10 am TCS was the top gainer on the BSE, trading at Rs 2,524.20, up 2.49 per cent on its previous close at Rs 2,462.85.
Bajaj Auto rode up 2.36 per cent at Rs 2,068. The share had closed yesterday’s session at Rs 2,020.25.
Bharti Airtel rang up gains of 2.22 per cent at Rs 398.60 as against Rs 389.95 at close overnight.
Hero MotoCorp rode up 1.65 per cent at Rs 2,364.35. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 2,325.95.
Infosys moved up 1.52 per cent to quote at Rs 1,951.70 as against Rs 1,922.50 at close yesterday.
