TCS surged 2.59 per cent to emerge the top gainer on the NSE near the close on Friday. At 3.30 pm the share was trading at Rs 2,621.80 as against Rs 2,555.50 at close yesterday.
HDFC was also on a firm footing, trading at Rs 1,287. This represented a gain of 2.47 per cent on its previous close at Rs 1,255.95.
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries rose 1.91 per cent to quote at Rs 1000 as against Rs 981.25 at close on Thursday.
HCL Technologies gained 1.55 per cent to quote at Rs 985.30 as against Rs 970.25 at close last evening.
Lupin perked up 1.39 per cent at Rs 1,732.85. The share ended yesterday’s session at Rs 1,709.10.
