The combined market valuation of top-seven companies diminished by Rs 46,107.96 crore last week, with HDFC and RIL taking the steepest hit.
Only ITC, ONGC and Infosys saw rise in their market capitalisation (m-cap) for the week ended Friday, while TCS, RIL, HDFC Bank, HDFC, CIL, SBI and HUL suffered losses.
HDFC’s valuation slumped Rs 13,685.57 crore to Rs 2,08,958.31 crore, while that of RIL plummeted by Rs 10,296.86 crore to Rs 3,49,671.55 crore.
The m-cap of HUL plunged Rs 7,877.96 crore to Rs 1,82,221.11 crore and of HDFC Bank tanked by Rs 5,002.17 crore to Rs 3,21,118.97 crore.
SBI’s valuation dipped by Rs 4,929.37 crore to Rs 1,95,544.35 crore while that of CIL tumbled Rs 3,852.98 crore to Rs 1,97,733.79 crore.
The m-cap of TCS slipped Rs 463.05 crore to Rs 4,66,183.55 crore.
In contrast, ONGC added Rs 7,571.61 crore to Rs 2,36,602.08 crore in its m-cap.
Infosys saw its valuation swell by Rs 3,387.99 crore to Rs 2,35,988.09 crore and ITC added Rs 787.25 crore to Rs 2,90,435.20 crore.
In the ranking of top-10 firms, TCS led the chart of top-10 companies followed by RIL, HDFC Bank, ITC, ONGC, Infosys, HDFC, CIL, SBI and HUL.
For the past week, the Sensex dropped 387.54 points,or 1.38 per cent, while NSE Nifty lost 114.20 points, or 1.31 per cent.
