Coal India was broadly firm in the morning session on Thursday. At 10.40 am the share led the pack on the NSE as well, trading at Rs 371.40 as against Rs 361.35 at close on Wednesday. This was a gain of 2.78 per cent.
UltraTech Cement firmed up 1.54 per cent at Rs 3,078.95 as against Rs 3,032.25 at close yesterday.
Tech Mahindra extended yesterday’s firm tone into the session today. It was trading up 1.48 per cent at Rs 650.30. The share ended the overnight session at Rs 640.80.
Tata Motors rolled up 0.90 per cent to quote at Rs 509.80 as against Rs 505.25 at close on Wednesday.
Axis Bank gained 0.83 per cent to trade at Rs 562.90 as against Rs 558.25 at close yesterday.
The benchmark indices the Sensex and the Nifty were trading in the red on mixed Asian cues. The Sensex was down nearly 60 points at 27,779, while the Nifty was trading down over 30 points at 8,389.
