Amid the falling market, the shares of technology company Vakrangee jumped over 6 per cent on Thursday on the back of short-covering and bargain-hunting. Ever since the announcement of FY19 fourth quarter results, the stock of Vakrangee has been gradually edging down from the peak of ₹60.65 made on May 10. On Thursday, after touching the day’s low of ₹40.8, the stock hit an intra-day high of ₹44.45. On the volume front 21.24 lakh shares got traded, almost double the size of its two-week average of 12.02 lakh shares, on the BSE. Vakrangee finally settled at ₹44.1, up 6.27 per cent.
