Vedanta extended its morning rally to notch up gains of 3.12 per cent in late trade on Tuesday. At 3 pm it was trading at Rs 182.60 as against its Monday close at Rs 177.05.
Hindalco came off its morning levels to trade at Rs 120, up 1.65 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 118.05.
Hindustan Unilever alse edged down to hold gains of 1.18 per cent at Rs 821.5 against Rs 811.90 at close last evening.
Tata Power advanced 0.84 per cent to trade at Rs 72. The share closed the previous session at Rs 71.4.
HDFC gained 0.83 per cent to trade at Rs 1,189.45 as against Rs 1,179.65 at close yesterday.
