Metal shares were broadly firm on the bourses on Wednesday. At 10.34 am Hindalco Industries was trading at Rs 89.70 against Rs 86.15 at close yesterday. This was a gain of 4.12 per cent.
Vedanta spurted 3.02 per cent to trade at Rs 111 against Rs 107.75 at close yesterday.
Tata Steel advanced 2.14 per cent to quote at Rs 250.25 against Rs 245 at close last evening’.
ACC firmed up 1.63 per cent to trade at Rs 1,374.25 against Rs 1,352.20 at close overnight.
Wipro was also on a firm wicket, trading at Rs 591.40 against Rs 585.35 at close yesterday. This was a gain of 1.03 per cent.
