Watch out for auto, cement sales figures

This week, auto majors such as Bajaj Auto, Hero Motocorp, TVS Motors, Ashok Leyland, Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors will announce their September month sales figures. Positive outcomes on the sales front, if any, of the reform announcements will emerge in the numbers. Already, some auto majors have announced that they are contemplating a price hike. Similarly, cement firms such as ACC, UltraTech Cement and Ambuja Cements will also declare their September month despatch figures. These figures will clearly give some clue on companies’ performance for the second quarter as well as this fiscal.
