Shares of Reliance Power may see some interest, as its wholly-owned subsidiary Sasan Power has won an arbitration award against North American Coal Corporation (NACC). In a suit, NACC had claimed about $32 million (₹235 crore) consisting of liquidated damages, interest and legal cost. Pursuant to the award, Sasan Power is required to pay only $2.3 million to NACC (₹17 crore). Shareholders of Reliance Power will closely monitor the development further.
