Wipro was firm but off its morning highs near the close of the session on the BSE on Friday. At 2.49 pm the share was trading at Rs 559.15. This represented a gain of 1.41 per cent on its previous close at Rs 551.40.
HDFC built gains of 1.23 per cent at Rs 1,178.50 against Rs 1,164.15 at close yesterday.
ONGC flared up 1.01 per cent at Rs 228.95 against Rs 226.65 at close overnight.
Dr Reddy’s Labs perked up 1 per cent to quote at Rs 4,013. The scrip had closed the previous session at Rs 3,973.25.
Hindustan Unilever edged up 0.95 per cent to trade at Rs 798.15 against Rs 790.60 at close last evening.
