Zee Entertainment held firm to ride up further on the NSE on Wednesday. At 2.50 pm it held gains of 3.35 per cent at Rs 367.10 as against Rs 355.20 at close yesterday.
BPCL flared up 2.49 per cent at Rs 769.35 as against Rs 750.65 at close on Tuesday.
Sesa Sterlite came off its morning levels to quote at Rs 196.45. This was a gain of 1.84 per cent on its overnight finish at Rs 192.90.
NMDC gained 1.62 per cent to trade at Rs 131.65 as against Rs 129.55 at close yesterday.
Jindal Steel edged lower to hold gains of 1.58 per cent at Rs 176.75 as against its Tuesday close at Rs 174.
The Sensex and the Nifty edged lower ahead of a key US Federal Reserve meeting later today. The meeting would shed light on the future direction of US rate policy. The Sensex was down nearly 100 points at below the 28,650 level, while the Nifty lost about 30 points to hover just below the 8,700 mark.
