Tata Motors has posted a three-fold rise in quarterly net profit, lifted by strong sales by Jaguar Land Rover in Europe and China. Net income rose to ₹518 crore in the three months ended March 31, from ₹172 crore a year earlier, it said in a statement after market hours.
JLR sales in Europe jumped 55 per cent in the quarter, faster than the 48 per cent expansion in the preceding quarter and in China, climbed 19 per cent (10 per cent).
