The stock of Jet Airways could be on the market radar this week. The Service Tax department has served a notice on Jet Airways to pay up about Rs 69 crore dues soon or face consequences. A PTI report quoting the Jet's Senior Vice-President (Finance), Mr Mahalingam Shivkumar said: “There has been some delay due to hike in oil prices and other costs. We are effecting the payments by Monday. Everything will be normal then.” Meanwhile, there are reports that Jet Airways pilots are not getting their salary on time. These developments in Jet come at a time when its competitor Kingfisher Airlines is tottering financially and has not been paying salaries since December due to fund crunch.
