Vietnam’s benchmark VN Index eased 0.93 per cent by midday on Wednesday, dragged down by energy stocks even as volumes held steady.
PetroVietNam Gas, Vietnam’s top listed firm by market value, lost 3.79 per cent, Petrovietnam Drilling and Well Services Corp fell 3.13 per cent and Petrovietnam Transportation Corp dropped 1.57 per cent.
As many as 47.9 million shares changed hands in the morning session, compared with the five-day average of 82.36 million shares, Reuters data showed.
