Wipro has been selected as a member of the global Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) - 2014 for the fifth year in succession. Wipro is included in both the DJSI World and Emerging Markets Indices.
DJSI is a global indicator tracking the financial performance of companies across all industries that outperform on sustainability and Wipro was assessed on economic, environment and social sustainability performance, according to Wipro officials.
A total of 1,813 companies were assessed from around the world of which 319 have been chosen as the DJSI World constituents for the year 2014-15, the IT Services sector saw 74 companies participating globally of which 7 have been selected for the World Index, the statement added.
