Bangalore based amusement park Company Wonderla Holidays listed on the stock exchange on Friday and the scrip debuted at a 28 per cent premium to the issue price of Rs 125.
The scrip opened at Rs 160 on the National Stock Exchange, a 28 per cent premium over its issue price of Rs 125. After rallying to Rs 168 a share in intra-day trade, it ended the day at Rs 160, up 28 per cent or 35 points.
The initial public offering of the company was subscribed to nearly 33 times and over 1.86 lakh applications were received from investors.
The company offered 1.45 crore equity shares of Rs. 10 each at a price band between Rs. 115 and Rs 125 per equity share. The minimum bid lot for the Rs 180 crore IPO was 100 equity shares and in multiples of 100 equity shares thereafter. The issue closed for subscription on April 23 and raised about Rs 27 crore from the anchor investors.
The issue would constitute 25.66 per cent of the fully diluted post issue paid up equity share capital of the company.
According to the company, proceeds from the issue will be used to set up an amusement park in Hyderabad, the company's third after Bangalore and Kochi, and for general corporate purposes.
Wonderla is promoted by Arun Kochouseph Chittilappilly and Kochouseph Chittilappilly, who founded V-Guard Industries.
