Rajeev Rishi took charge as Chairman and Managing Director of Central Bank of India on Thursday. According to a Finance Ministry notification, Rishi’s appointment is for a period of five years from the date of taking charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Prior to his appointment, he was the Executive Director of Indian Bank (from October 2010 to July-end 2013). Before joining Indian Bank, Rishi was the General Manager of Oriental Bank of Commerce. M.V. Tanksale demitted office as CMD of Central Bank of India following superannuation on July 31.
