IDBI to open 2 lakh savings a/cs

IDBI Bank plans to open more than two lakh basic savings accounts under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana’, the bank said in a statement. Under the plan, each account-holder would be provided with a passbook and a RuPay Debit/ATM card with free accident insurance cover of ₹1 lakh. Further, overdraft of ₹2,000 would be provided to each account-holder after satisfactory operation of the account for six months.
