Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd (IHFL) has bought back US-based private equity firm Amaprop’s entire 42.5 per cent holding in its subsidiary, Indiabulls Finance Company Pvt Ltd (IFCPL), for Rs 260 crore.
Amaprop Ltd had invested in the equity capital of IFCPL under a share purchase agreement, the company said in a statement.
IFCPL is a non-deposit-taking NBFC, registered with and regulated by the RBI. With this agreement, this company is now wholly-owned by IHFL.
IHFL is one of the leading housing finance companies in India with a net worth of about Rs 5,300 crore and a capital adequacy ratio of around 18 per cent, the company said.
