Karnataka Bank is targeting a business turnover of Rs 65,000 crore for 2012-13.
Quoting Mr P. Jayarama Bhat, Managing Director of the bank, a bank release said here that the bank is all set to achieve a growth rate of 25 per cent this fiscal.
During 2011-12, its business turnover exceeded Rs 52,000 crore. He said the number of branches crossed the 500 mark, and the customer base crossed 50 lakh during the period. The bank, which acquired 7.5 lakh customers in 2011-12, plans to add more than 10 lakh new customers during 2012-13.
Mr Bhat said the bank would open 50 more branches and 100 new ATMs during the fiscal. With this, the bank's branches will be increased to 550 and ATMs to 450.
Soon the bank will introduce mobile banking services for its customers, he added.
