Punjab National Bank (PNB) is yet to finalise a partner for its life insurance foray even as it has opened the commercial bids of three short-listed companies.
“We are looking into the commercial bids (of these three companies). They are being compared internally. No final decision has yet been taken on the partner. We will allow the process to take shape. There is no hurry”, Mr K. R. Kamath, PNB's Chairman and Managing Director, told Business Line here.
He was responding to queries on a media report on PNB being close to acquiring as much as 33 per cent equity stake in MetLife India.
PNB had in April this year short-listed three companies — MetLife, Aviva and Bharti Axa Life Insurance — for its foray into life insurance business.
