Maharashtra-headquartered Ratnakar Bank Ltd has announced its entry into Tamil Nadu. It opened its first branch in the State in Chennai on Monday. Announcing the launch, Vishwavir Ahuja, CEO and Managing Director, said there are plans for seven more branches across the State before the end of the current financial year.
Currently, the bank has strong presence in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Goa. “We are growing rapidly in other regions such as Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, National Capital Region, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan.
Overall, with a network of 125 branches, it has a total business volume of around Rs 15,000 crore as of March 31, 2013. —
