American Express launches ‘travel’ credit card

American Express Platinum Travel Credit Card is offering travelling and lodging benefits to the card members

American Express has launched the ‘American Express Platinum Travel Credit Card’, which offers the card members a complimentary return domestic flight and a luxury hotel stay each year of membership.

American Express has tied up with IndiGo Airlines and the Taj Group as anchor partners to offer the card members these rewards and benefits. The card members can also redeem their membership rewards points, earned from regular spending for miles, in more than 65 international and domestic airlines.

 

The card members will get a welcome gift of 5,000 bonus points (worth IndiGo voucher of Rs 4,000) that will be credited to their account on the first charge. Another 7,500 bonus membership rewards points (worth IndiGo voucher of Rs 6,000) will be credited on reaching the spend threshold of Rs 1.9 lakh within a renewal cycle.

Once card members reach the spend threshold of Rs 4 lakh in the same renewal cycle, they will get another 10,000 bonus membership rewards points, worth IndiGo voucher and Taj Group vouchers of Rs 10,000 each.

 

In addition to these bonus points, card members will also earn membership reward points through regular spending and accelerated rewards.
