Andhra Bank posted a net loss of ₹579 crore in the third quarter ended December 2018. The loss widened as the lender suffered a net loss of ₹532 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Net interest income (NII) of the bank rose by 1.57 per cent at ₹1,698 crore (₹1,672 crore). Total income increased by 4.49 per cent at ₹5,322 crore (₹5,093 crore). Retail credit registered a growth of 19.38 per cent at ₹40,979 crore, driven by increase in housing loans.
