Andhra Bank has opened its 2500th branch at Khajaguda here on Monday. Speaking after formal inauguration of the branch by Eatala Rajender, Minister for Finance & Planning, Govt of Telangana, C V R Rajendran, Chairman and Managing Director of Andhra Bank said with the new branch the total number of branches in Telangana State reached 544.

``The Branch is under the Navshakti project which would also attract the new generation customers with its good ambience and visibility and 24/7 anytime banking centre,’’ he said.

Launched in 2013, Navshakti is a new generation banking which is not only a business transformation but also a human resource transformation to popularise Sales and Service culture with speed.

There are 165 Navshakti branches functioning in Telangana. There are 75 Navshakti branches functioning in Hyderabad comprising 3 Zones. There are 31 Navshakti Branches in Secunderabad Zone including the one inaugurated on Monday at Khajaguda.

With a network of 2500 Branches, 2206 ATMs, 35 Satellite Offices and nine 9 extension counters, Andhra Bank now has 4,750 delivery channels. The total business is at Rs 272 lakh crore with Rs 1.51 lakh crore deposits and Rs 1.21 lakh crore advances as on March 26, 2015
