Andhra Bank’s Q4 net down 33%

Andhra Bank’s net profit declined 33 per cent to ₹35 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2017, from ₹52 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

For the full year-ended March 2017, the net profit declined 68 per cent to ₹174 crore from ₹540 crore in the previous year, according to a release issued here on Tuesday.

In FY17, the net interest income grew 3.9 per cent to ₹5,532 crore (₹5,321 crore in the year-ago period). Total income rose 5.9 pc to ₹20,336 crore (₹19,199 crore).

The net non-performing assets rose significantly to 7.57 per cent (from 4.61 per cent) while gross NPAs rose to 12.25 per cent (8.39 per cent). Total business grew 9.3 per cent to ₹3,39,673 cr (₹3,10,673 crore).

During the year under review, ₹3,000 crore capital was infused by way of tier-I and II bonds.

The board of directors did not propose any dividend for 2016-17.
