Apollo Life and wellness guru Deepak Chopra have joined hands to launch a wellbeing platform to rejuvenate the health of employees in the corporate world.

It will leverage technology and medical expertise across the Apollo Hospitals chain and global reach of Jiyo, founded by Deepak Chopra, also a well-known physician and author and Poonacha Machaiah, an entrepreneur and technology expert.

Claimed to be the first of its kind in the world of corporate wellbeing in India, the platform converges experts, content, products and services to corporate employees and delivers personalised healthcare on a mobile/web platform.

Personalisation and health-tracking tools such as sleep patterns, stress reduction and exercise tips are built in for individuals. For corporate houses, this would help contribute to reducing HR medical insurance spends, reduce absenteeism and increase productivity. Companies also get a group profile at the beginning of the programme to check the Health Score Card of their workforce, a press release said.

With Apollo-Jiyo, an ecosystem will be created to help people participate in both prevention and treatment of chronic illness. “We are committed to provide timely access to health and enable people to make informed healthcare choices. The wellness of India will determine the progress of India and this is a step to ensure that goal,” said Prathap C Reddy, Chairman, Apollo Hospitals Group.

The goal of the initiative is to help employees experience a joyful energetic body, loving compassionate heart, restful alert mind and lightness of being. This is key to personal transformation and wellbeing,” said Deepak Chopra MD, Co-Founder, JIYO & Chairman, Chopra Foundation.

Yoga guru, Eddie Stern, nutritionist, Kimberly Snyder whose clientele include Hollywood stars including Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin, Drew Barrymore, Reese Witherspoon and Dita Von Teese, will offer their expert advice.
