State-owned Bank of India (BOI) today said it has acquired 49 per cent stake from BSE Ltd in their joint venture BOI Shareholding Ltd for an undisclosed amount.
BOI Shareholding Ltd was established in 1989 as an independent full-fledged clearing house of the exchange with the public lender having 51 per cent stake.
“Now, with the mutual understanding, Bank of India has purchased the 49 per cent stake of BSE Ltd and it has become wholly-owned subsidiary of the bank,” Bank of India said in a regulatory filing.
