British banking major Barclays has appointed Mr Vivek Gupta as the country head for its trade and working capital division.
Mr Gupta is from HSBC, where he was heading the business development team working out of Singapore.
Mr Vivek’s coming on board underlines the importance the bank places on India franchise, Barclays said in a statement issued here today.
Mr Gupta will be responsible for building the trade business across all client segments including financial institutions and multi-national companies.
