The overnight call money rates opened higher at 7.50 per cent against the previous close of 7.30 per cent. The 8.33 per cent government security (G-Sec), which matures in 2026, closed lower at Rs 107.75 (previous close: Rs 107.96). Yield on this security at the closing price was 7.39 per cent (7.37 per cent). Bond prices and yields move in the opposite direction. —
