Karnataka Bank Ltd is planning to open more than five lakh current and savings accounts in the next three-and-half months. In this regard, the bank launched a special campaign on Saturday.
Under this, the bank wants to open more than five lakh current and savings accounts by undertaking door-to-door canvassing from November 15 to February 28, and also cover maximum number of households under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana.
A press release said here that the bank has more than 625 branches across India and 61 lakh accounts under the current and savings bank category. The bank aims to cross a customer base of 68 lakh in the current and savings accounts by March 2015, it added.
