Corporation Bank has donated five 'Daisy' (digital accessible information system) players and five computers to the students of School of Deaf-Mute Society, Ahmedabad. The Daisy players have been given for the benefit of the visually challenged students.
A press statement said here that S.R. Bansal, Chairman and Managing Director of the bank, handed over the Daisy players to the Secretary of the Society. Sumitra Bansal, President of Corp Kiran, handed over the computers to the society at a function in Ahmedabad on January 13.
It said that Corporation Bank has set up a wing named 'Corp Kiran', which is managed by women, for undertaking activities related to CSR (corporate social responsibility). It has units in corporate office as well as at the circles and zones of the bank.
Corporation Bank has been associating itself with several organisations that work for the welfare of society to fulfil its obligation as a responsible corporate citizen, it said.
