Corporation Bank has launched a new savings bank account, and app for android and iOS phones and tablets.
‘Corp Saral Savings Account’ is a variant of savings bank account where the customers can get many benefits by maintaining a minimum quarterly average balance of Rs 1,000, according to a press release from the bank. The features include free personal accident cover of Rs 1 lakh for the primary account holder, and free demand draft and purchase order through Internet banking.

The mobile banking app — ‘CorpMobile’ — can be downloaded free from App Store for iOS phones and tablets and Play Store for android phones and tablets. The account holder can access various facilities through the app using Internet banking user ID and password, it said. The ‘CorpMobile’ app contains four icons such as ‘accounts’, ‘payments’, ‘services’ and ‘more’.
Through ‘accounts’ option, the accountholder can check the current balance of all his/her linked running accounts and on tapping the particular account – account details and details of last 10 transactions can be viewed.
Through ‘payments’ option, the accountholder can transfer money to his/her own accounts, third party accounts maintained at Corporation Bank and also to third party accounts maintained in other banks using NEFT (National Electronic Funds Transfer).
Through ‘services’ option, facilities such as request for cheque book, stop payment and credit card payment of Corporation Bank can be done.
Through ‘more’ option, the accountholder can change his/her password, the release added.
