The number of daily average transactions on the Unified Payments Interface of NPCI has seen an increase of 312.69 per cent from April 2018 to April 2019.
According to a tweet by NPCI on Wednesday, the number of daily average transactions on UPI stood at 2.60 crore per day in April 2019. In April 2018, this number was 0.63 crore.
However, the number of transactions on this mobile-only payment ecosystem declined to 78.17 crore in April, from 79.95 crore in March.
The daily average transactions had crossed the one crore per day and two crore per day marks in August 2018 and December 2018.
