After the successful launch of its Skill Academy in Kochi, Federal Bank has now opened its Skill Academy in Coimbatore.
The academy,which is a part of the bank's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives aims at up-skilling the needy and making such candidates employable.
Mahendra Ramdass, President, COINDIA and Managing Director, Mahendra Pumps inaugurated the academy in Coimbatore and V Thirugnanam, Vice President, Codissia and Chief Executive, Meridian Mediteck inaugurated the Lab.
Federal Skill Academy will initially provide an in-demand CNC Machine Operator Certificate Course in Milling & Turning. This course, which would be certified by COINDIA is expected to facilitate underprivileged students employable both in India and abroad.
Students between 18 and 25 years, who have passed+ 2 / ITI / Polytechnic / Degree or engineering drop-outs, with an annual family income not exceeding ₹ 2 lakhs would be eligible to apply for the course.
Federal Bank has tied up with SB Global Education Resources Pvt. Ltd as its implementing partner for this project.
