Daimler Financial Services (DFS) has appointed Fred Weick as Managing Director of Daimler Financial Services India, according to a press release from the company.
Weick takes over from Sidhartha Nair who headed the Indian operations of the captive finance arm of Daimler AG after it was established in 2011. Nair is now the Head of Strategy for the Americas, the release said. Weick, who was previously the Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Portugal, will help tap the opportunities in India’s growing captive finance segment with tailor made finance solutions to scale up the business.
