Ahead of its first quarter results, HDFC Bank on Monday said its total advances as of June 30, 2019 grew 17.09 per cent to ₹8.29-lakh crore compared to ₹7.08-lakh crore in the same period a year ago. Its total advances amounted to ₹8.19-lakh crore as on March 31, 2019.
In a regulatory filing, HDFC Bank — the country’s largest private sector lender — said its total deposits amounted to ₹9.54-lakh crore as on June 30, 2019.
The bank’s CASA ratio stood at around 40 per cent compared to 41.7 per cent as of June 30, 2018 and 42.4 per cent as of March 31, 2019, the lender said. During the quarter ended June 30, 2019, the bank purchased loans amounting to ₹7,230 crore through the direct assignment route under the home loan arrangement with Housing Development Finance Corporation.
