ICICI Bank’s new facility for NRIs

ICICI Bank launched a completely online account opening facility for Non-Resident Indians residing in the US. “NRIs can open an NRI savings account with ICICI Bank India in a single session on its website, eliminating the hassles of sending physical documents across continents,” ICICI Bank said in a statement. This facility will enable customers in the US to open an account within two working days upon successful verification of the uploaded documents. Thereafter, the customer can transfer funds into the account, after which debit card and other deliverables are sent to the customer’s registered address.
